When Specialist Metallic Coatings approached Win Media, they were entering a defining chapter of their journey. A century of expertise, innovation, and technical leadership deserved to be reflected in a brand that felt credible, confident, and future-focused. Our role was to help translate that legacy into a modern brand, a clear digital presence, and a marketing strategy that supported both heritage and continued growth. A brand built on heritage, not nostalgia Specialist Metallic Coatings has played a significant role in shaping the industrial coatings sector in the UK. Their challenge was not credibility, but communication. Over time, their contribution to the industry had outgrown how it was being presented. The brand needed to honour the past without feeling dated, while clearly positioning the business as a modern, forward-thinking organisation. Our approach focused on clarity, confidence, and consistency. We worked closely with the team to develop a rebrand that respected their heritage while strengthening how their expertise, values, and innovation were communicated.

Translating the brand into a new website

Alongside the rebrand, we delivered a new website designed to act as a central platform for the business. The site brings together strong storytelling, clear service messaging, and a structured user journey that supports both credibility and commercial conversations. Space was intentionally given to their history and innovation journey, including their 100 Years of Innovation milestone, reinforcing their long-standing contribution to the industry. The result is a website that supports sales, partnerships, and marketing activity while accurately reflecting who Specialist Metallic Coatings are today.

With the foundations in place, we developed a marketing strategy that aligned with the brand’s heritage and future ambitions. Rather than chasing trends, the focus was on positioning Specialist Metallic Coatings as a trusted authority in their field. This included defining clear messaging, content direction, and a strategic approach to visibility that supported sustainable growth. The strategy was designed to reinforce reputation, not inflate it.

In 2025, Specialist Metallic Coatings were awarded Enterprise of the Year at the Nachural Summer Business Awards. This recognition reflects the innovation, precision, and dedication that underpins everything they do, as well as the strength of the partnerships they have built across their industry. It also reinforced the importance of having a brand and marketing presence that truly represents the scale and quality of the business.
