Get To Know The Team | Ruj Sanghera

I sat down with our new Studio Manager, Ruj and asked her some random questions that I thought would help give an insight on our newest Team Member! Look out for more of these posts as I’ll be working my way through the team to help you get to know us all a bit better.

Ruj has joined Win Media to support the team and clients alike in seamless project management and communication whilst also supporting the day to day flow of the studio. With her background in Communication, Design and Project Coordination she is a all-rounded addition to Win Media, we welcome her on board and look forward to see what she brings to the team.

Describe how you feel about joining the team in 3 words

We kicked things off with (what I thought would be) a simple, quick fire question which actually ended up with us both sat for five minutes trying to condense multiple sentences down into three words, in the end we settled with a few more than the original 3 words but nonetheless Ruj feels optimistic, excited and ready for both personal development and to help us as a team develop.

Where do you think Digital Marketing is going in 2017?

“I think there needs to be more of a focus on user experience and directing Ad’s which are relevant to your target audience...brands need to become more personable and give users the drive to want to interact with them...I think storytelling is a big part of Marketing, especially on Social Media, users want to resonate with something.”

What is success to you?

“Success is both personal and shared,” Ruj feels most successful after solving a problem or overcoming a challenge, whether that be individually or within a team.

If you could stay one age forever, what age would it be and why?

“I feel like I’ve been the same age forever- forever 21 is my tagline! 21 is an age where you’re learning a lot about life, it’s a turning point… you’re so confident!” Ruj claims she always likes to approach things thinking “what would my 21 year old self do with all the knowledge she has now?” despite having more life experience now she says she will always be young at heart and never wants to fall in the trap of losing her energy.

What’s your favourite holiday and why?

“I love the May Bank Holidays...is that boring?” She laughs. “My birthday’s in May and it’s always nice to have a long weekend.” Her second favourite holiday is Easter “it’s a really chilled out, nice time of year....and I’ve been known to enjoy an Easter Egg, or two!”

Pick a movie title that describes your life.

“I have the nickname amongst my friends of Happy Feet...I have to admit I do love having a boogie when I go out, so I’d probably go with that!”

What is your idea of the perfect day?

“I love tea, music, dancing and art, so maybe a combination of those?.. I’d probably get up to the sun shining (unlike today!) in somewhere surrounded by nature and flowers, go for a walk to find a food market, have a bite to eat and, of course, a cup of tea, stroll to find an Art Gallery, meet up with friends and reflect on life…we love reflecting back on our lives when we meet up, then maybe go to a live gig and dance the night away!”

What do you consider to be your greatest achievement?

“I’m proud that I have a wide view on life and appreciate differences and uniqueness.” Ruj says the area she lived in when she was younger was very ‘cliquey’ and she’s proud of growing up and befriending so many unique people who have taught her so much about life.

Did you make any New Year’s Resolutions and have you stuck to them?

Ruj thinks the New Year is a good time to go over existing goals and maybe set some new ones but doesn’t like to set rigid goals for the year. “I think goals should be constant...one of my big goals this year is to develop within my career.”

If you were famous, what would it be for?

“I think I’m good at bringing people together, and I have a good energy... can you even be famous for that?”

What would you tell your teenage self if you could?

So many things! Live in the moment, don’t worry too much about the future- you’re going to go through so much and meet so many people who will challenge your beliefs but teach you so much, listen to your parents because they know more than you think... oh and do not get that curly perm!”

I hope you enjoyed that sit down chat with our new Studio Manager, Ruj. I definitely learnt a few things about her and I hope you did too!
